Earlier this month, ABC7 TV news (San Francisco) reported that an illegal immigrant serial rapist living in the Bay Area for more than 13 years was found guilty and sentenced to over 100 years in prison.
He posed as a rideshare driver and picked up young women outside bars and clubs in San Francisco. The alleged violent sexual assaults occurred between 2013 and 2018.
Unsurprisingly, the TV news station in the Woke capital waited to inform viewers of the convicted rapist’s illegal immigration status until the very end of the report. The woke term “undocumented” was used. It is however surprising that his illegal immigration status was mentioned at all.
No concern on how an illegal immigrant was enabled to live in the area for at least 13 years was expressed, and no questioned raised, in the TV news segment in the Woke capital.
Brushing these central concerns aside, statements were bizarrely made on how other measures could help make the situation safer for young women. This pointed at the responsibilities of rideshare companies and the city’s victim support services.
