Scott Jennings: Dems will wage ‘maximum warfare’ on Republicans, impeach Trump on DAY ONE

There was no hyperbole detected as Scott Jennings used Democrats’ own words in a forecast of their plans for “maximum warfare” should they win control in the midterms.

Many have made the case that if President Donald Trump were ever responsible for the cure for cancer, the left would come out on the side of the devastating disease. In support of the expectation that Trump Derangement Syndrome appeared to be fueling Democrats, Jennings cast light on a report about post-midterm plans built on “shadow hearings.”

“Let me ask you a question to begin today’s show. What is the first thing that Democrats would do if they win back the House in November? Would they lower your taxes, do anything to make your life better?” presented the political commentator before answering, “No. The answer is no. The first thing, the very first thing, is impeach Donald Trump again, for the third time. That is the big idea.”

Referring to an Axios report, Jennings said: “They’re talking about building a case right now, holding shadow hearings, lining everything up so the minute they grab the gavels, they can go straight to impeaching the president.”

That exact language was attributed to Illinois Rep. Delia Ramirez, one of the slew of Democrats who’d skipped out on Trump’s State of the Union address to attend a rally reportedly benefitting from George Soros-linked campaign funds, as she told Axios her party should “build up the case so that when we are in power in January, we’ve created the conditions … we’ve done the fact-checking, we’ve done the shadow hearings, everything we need to be able to impeach [Trump].”

As the host of the eponymous Salem News Channel show put it, the “pressure is building inside their party among the radicals who now call the shots.”

“So here we are again, the same playbook, the same obsession with the idea that Donald Trump is not and has never been a legitimate president. That is what’s at the heart of all of this,” continued Jennings. “They cannot get over the fact that Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton way back in 2016.”

“The party that talks about democracy and the will of the people has studiously ignored these things when it comes to Trump, his legitimacy and his authority as the duly elected president of our nation,” he went on. “That’s the news today.”

As proof Democrats are beholden to the radicals, Jennings noted, “After all, they’ve had the Department of Homeland Security shut down for the last 70 days to appease this mob. You think they wouldn’t go further and impeach the president?”

Of late, the political fight has focused on election integrity as redistricting efforts were underway or planned across the country. Turning to the pre-midterms fight at hand, the commentator raised House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ (D-NY) remarks and said, “Let me translate this into plain English. If they win, they are not coming to govern. They are coming to retaliate. They are coming for retribution. They are coming for political blood. As Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic House leader, has said this week, it’s maximum warfare.”

Similarly, the same day Axios released its report on the left’s plan to impeach Trump, CEO and co-founder Jim VandeHei made the case that “political hell” was in store for the president’s “friends and family” as well, with subpoenas expected to be sent to his closest allies.

As had been reported, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) had responded to Jeffries’ “F around and find out” posturing over the Freedom State’s announced plans to redistrict in response to radical efforts in Virginia by saying, “Please. Be my guest. I will pay for you to come down to Florida to campaign.”

Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) had his own “Newsflash” for the left over plans to continue targeting Trump as an election strategy, “Democrats are saying the quiet part out loud: They will impeach President Trump on DAY ONE if they win the midterms. Newsflash: Americans rejected more Democrat impeachments, open borders, and tax hikes in 2024 — and will do it again in 2026.”
