An infomercial icon is running for Congress, and his campaign ad is making waves for its clear anti-woke message.
The actor and salesman known as the “ShamWow guy” took aim at “bluehead commies” and “the woke” as he pitched his first campaign ad wearing a familiar headset microphone. Vince Shlomi is running to fill Rep. John Carter’s seat in Texas’s 31st Congressional District. The 61-year-0ld who credited the death of the late Charlie Kirk as the “catalyst” to launch his political bid, vowed to “slam chop the nuts out of woke” in the entertaining new video ad.
His slogan is an even more entertaining offering, “Make America Grow Some Cojones Again.”

“Hey, It’s Vince. I’m running for Congress against this guy,” Shlomi said in the video as he held up a picture of Carter, the 84-year-old incumbent who has represented Texas’s 31st Congressional District since 2003.
“Stop having a politician that’s worse than Biden,” Shlomi continued.”Instead, vote for me, a guy who’s not half dead.”
“I’m going to soak up the swap, clean the house, and pick up those liberal tears at the same time,” he promised in the ad reminiscent of the “ShamWow” towel informercials. “I’m going to slap chop the nuts out of the woke, making less bluehead commies and more red-blooded Americans.”
“Vote for me so I can represent you and the ones that can’t stand up for themselves,” he concluded as an ultrasound image appeared on the screen, the baby in utero urging, “Vote for Shamwow!”
The ad included “Shamwow” as part of Shlomi’s full name as it noted the upcoming Republican primary.
If elected to Congress, Shlomi promises he will focus on passing nine bills, according to his website. He will look to end the tax on social security, end pornography on X, and bring back prayers in schools, among other goals.
Shlomi spoke about Charlie Kirk’s influence during a November interview with Time.
“I felt like I have Charlie Kirk’s spirit in me, in a sense — or near me. It’s drawn me to do this,” he said, calling the Turning Point USA founder who was assassinated in September a “woke buster.”
“I guess I’m becoming the woke buster myself,” Shlomi said at the time.
Social media reactions to Shlomi’s campaign ad varied, but many were happy to see him running for office.
