Carville: Trump headed for dramatic exit – and it’s not impeachment

Democratic strategist James Carville believes the midterms are going to make President Donald Trump walk away.

An interesting prediction has emerged from the party that claims Trump is going to do everything he can to not have to leave the White House. While speaking to his co-host Al Hunt on “Politics War Room,” Carville mused that Democrats will win big in the midterms as a total rebuke of the president’s agenda, and it will cause Trump to effectively call it quits.

“‘Do you think Trump wants to lose the midterms, then he can play off grievances?’” Hunt said, reading a viewer question.

“No way in the world, Danny. If he wanted to lose the midterms, why has he orchestrated all this gerrymandering, trying to fix results in those places? Why does he have his hitmen out there, all over the country, trying to discredit Democrats? He is s petrified of losing these midterms,” the host responded. “Not because of any legislative agenda, not because they’ll stop this, because they’re going to investigate him. And when they investigate him, and they have the power of subpoena, you know what? He’s done an awful lot of bad things. And he, you know, I don’t think he’s ever going to go to jail. But I’ll tell you, some of this stuff is really going to- what we know is awful. What they’re hiding is even worse. So, you better believe he wants to win the midterms.”

“Trump has no earthly idea of what’s coming,” Carville chimed in. “They’re not telling him. The vote against him in November is going to be like breathtaking. And he’s already bored. He can’t stay awake. He says he’s bored with the Iran war. I’m telling you, this guy, by Easter of 2027, is just going to walk away from his job. Just going to f**king walk away. Because he doesn’t have any idea of what it’s gonna be like when he comes to grips with the massive, I mean, it’s going to be massive rejection of him. Anybody [who] has anything to do with him, anything that he has anything to do with, and he’s a soft man, and he gets distracted. He’s obviously not well, he sleeps all the time, slobbers all over himself or whatever.”

Carville rounded out his prediction by reiterating that he doesn’t think the president will “last past Easter 2027” and that the leader’s people are lying to him about what the midterm outcome may look like.

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle shot back at the strategist in a statement to The Hill, calling him “a stone-cold loser who suffers from a severe and incurable disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, and it has rotted his peanut-sized brain.”
