Like the avenging hero in a vintage Clint Eastwood western, President Donald J. Trump rode into town determined to take revenge on the bad guys, only the gun that was blazing didn’t belong to him.
Saturday night’s White House Correspondents Association Dinner was to be a triumphant moment for Trump to get back at his persecutors, only to abruptly end when a left-wing maniac tried and failed to carry out an assassination attempt, a sick testament to the violence that Democrats have unleashed on America.

The festivities were just getting started when an armed individual charged past security checkpoints and headed for the ballroom where the president, the vice president, and other top government officials were set to enjoy the show, exchanging fire with law enforcement, with one member of the Secret Service being shot.
The suspect was fortunately subdued before anyone was killed, and the president, First Lady Melania Trump, and other high-ranking guests were safely evacuated with the event being called off and likely rescheduled for a future date, hopefully with tighter security.
It is the third time that a would-be assassin has tried to take out Trump, who has had a target painted squarely on his back by Democrats and the media who have spent years likening him to Hitler and demonizing him and his policies as fascist and racist.
“It’s a dangerous profession,” Trump said later from the White House. “Nobody told me this was such a dangerous profession.”
For weeks, leftists and the purveyors of hate in the media have squealed like stuck pigs about Trump’s being honored at the WHCA, a mighty insult to their pride, and right up until the minutes before shots rang out, CNN was still feeding the demented fantasies of unstable individuals, almost like they’re deliberately trolling for assassins.

Is it really any great surprise that one of the members of the lunatic Democrat base took them seriously?

The alleged shooter was identified as Cole Allen, a 31-year-old Torrance, California man whose manifesto was chock full of anti-Trump hate.
“I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes,” he wrote, parroting the talking points of some elected Democrat lawmakers about Trump.
Like the troubled transgender man who wanted to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2022, Allen traveled across the country on his murderous mission.
And there are more, God only knows how many.
Trump could use the powers of a wartime president to act as he declined to do after Charlie Kirk’s murder and ruthlessly obliterate the left, because the cancer has been allowed to thrive without consequences for far too long.
