Sore-loser Schumer says ‘nobody respects’ ICE or Border Patrol after GOP scores a big win

Republicans scored a close, but major win for America.

Senate Republicans adopted a badly needed budget resolution Thursday morning that will make a path to fund ICE and Border Patrol through the end of President Trump’s term.

The razor-thin victory followed an all-night voting marathon and sidelined opposing Democrats.

Republican Sens Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski voted against the budget blueprint that will be the first move to unlock the budget reconciliation process, Fox News reported.

Democrats who’ve been fighting against the funding of ICE and Border Patrol predictably slammed Republicans.

“America is crying out for relief from high costs, and you’re here adding $140 billion to an agency that nobody — two groups — Border Patrol and ICE, that nobody respects in this country,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said.

Republicans are reportedly planning to front-load the agencies with $70 billion with the expectation that Democrats will refuse to allocate taxpayer dollars to fund the agencies in the future, according to Fox.

X users were glad to hear the news, but cautioned that it likely won’t mean much with the passing of the SAVE America Act:

It’s only until Trump’s term is over, but it’s definitely better than nothing.

Time is ticking!
